Crazy, Sometimes Tragic, but Always Magic

So this summer....West Yellowstone, 3 girls, 1 house and thousands of acres of adventure...could life get any better? Nope, didn't think so.

After school ended (which it ended rather quietly) I moved home for about 36 hours then re-packed my little ricer and headed up to West Yellowstone Montana to start my next grand adventure; adventure it was.

Traci and I move up May 20th and settled into our routine and monotonous lives....hahaha, ya right. Pretty sure, there isn't a road up there that we haven't been on. Vroom Vroom (aka, the Mazda) became accustomed to the 4-wheeler trails and we soon discovered he enjoyed mud and flying.

Then our darling Cheltzey moved in....that was interesting. We became three and loved it. From random trips into the Park at 1 am to go swimming to driving three hours to go to Cody to watch a rodeo and buy boots, we were always on the go and having fun. These girls pretty much know everything about me and they are more than friends! I love you, Traci and Cheltzey!

A Bitter Sweet Ending

So about a week ago, I was convinced that my life as I knew it was over. I didn't know how I was ever going to go on! It was tragic; my year as an Idaho FFA Association State Officer ended. I was a little bummed. I had just had one of the most amazing weeks of my life...how could it just end? Let me expound a little.

Monday morning, the 6th of April, we all met at the Fine Arts Auditorium on the campus of CSI. It was a great way to spend my birthday! Well, we started rehearsing for the convention that would start Thursday. We started decking the auditorium out. This was goin to be great! Tuesday, the 7th, was Business and Industry Tours. I was on the radio! It made getting up at 4:30 worth it! Then we went to Glanbia, Idaho Milk Producers and Magic Valley Compost. They were pretty fun. The picture is of the team out in front of Idaho Milk Producers. They had a fire alarm go off and we all had to evacuate the building. Good times. Then back to the hotel for more rehearsals.

Wednesday, the 8th, was all dress rehearsal. We ran through everything on stage! And students started showing up! It was AMAZING!

Thursday, the 9th, was the start to the three most amazing days of my life! I don't really think words can explain how amazing it was! Well we had our first session. Opening Ceremonies with the lights, the people, the music! The feeling was intoxicating! I can see why people perform; it's a high. The first session wasn't too bad...I do have battle scars to prove I was there tho!

Friday, the 10th, was my day. The morning session was fun and we were having more fun and getting used to being on stage...or at least I was. I wasn't nervous anymore; it felt natural! Well, about 30 minuets before the session begins where I give my retiring address, I get a phone call from the fam saying they may be late. Thankfully they weren't. Well, my session starts. Kelsey, Katie and I do our skit-amazing! After that I kick off my shoes back stage, wish Quin, Dei and Rusty good luck and fly out to where I start.

Standing in the back of the auditorium, I listen as my siblings introduce me and then my music kicks on; I didn't think my smile could get any bigger at this point! I start talking, all 1500 pairs of eyes are on me. I was inebriated. I felt so natural and so at ease, I didn't want it to end!

I finish, the music comes on again, the crowd is on their feet instantaneously, I walk over to the coat rack. I know I should be sad, but I was high on the feeling. Katie recognizes Cheltz. It got me when she choked up. I love Cheltz!! She is amazing! That was the most phenominal, magnificient, splendid feeling I have ever felt!

After that session, I chaired the next session. It was really fun...interesting but fun. After that session I got to hang with the fam for a bit. Shoshone Falls was goregous! And it was fun hangin with me mom, the bro's and their wives! After that a dinner and then the dance which was fun.

Saturday brought an end to it all. We passed our offices off to whoever Nom Com chose. Kiana is the new treasurer. I couldn't have more happy! It's only fitting that she get my office!

Though my year is over, I will never forget the people or the experiences I have had.

One Long Day...

So, the other day, Tuseday the 10th in fact, I woke up at 7 after having gone to bed at 3 that morning...it sounds trivial and pointless, but that was the beginning to one of the longest days of my life; I was up for over 43 hours straight!
I had woken up with the intent of finishing up my homework i was working on before I fell into bed, but I got distracted(story of my life!) So the day was pretty mundane...went to work, went to class;woohoo. It was what happened after.
That evening I started packing for my trip to Wendell. But I soon realized that I was going to be short on money and would not make it clear down there; I freaked out! Well silly me, I miscalculted...I had enough. So there was one drame taken care of. Around midnight I head out.
I fueled up in Lewiston and got about ten minuets out when I realized I had forgotten my jump drive which had everything on it in my dorm! So, back to Moscow I went, this time a little faster. I knew exactly where it was...I wanted to utter some dirty words rather loudly, BUT! I didn't, I grabbed and left. I finally left moscow around 1:30 and it was starting to snow!
Outside Lewiston about an hour, I hit a horrible snow storm! And I hit another one around Fenn and again at Riggins, not to mention the roads where horrible from about Ferdanad to Payette!! It took me over 5 hours to get to Payette!!! But once I hit I-84, all was good.
At this time I had already been up for over 24 hours and sadly I was bouncing off the walls! I havent been that hyper in a long long time!!! Great fun tho! My vists went well and I was asked numerous times how I was still awake and functioning at that! I wasn't sure myself...I had only had one mug of mountian dew! The ride home was fairly boring...I just drove and that was about it. By the time I got home at 11, my time, I had been up for 41 hours! But I didn't get to bed till almost 2 hours later! I did all that on a little over 3 hours of sleep!!! I love my life!!

Great News

So, I just found out that I have the opportunity to travel to Washington's State FFA Convention...needless to say I am pretty dang excited! Washington's Convention is supposed to be amazing! Have I ever mentioned I love the FFA? So that will be my plans right after I finish school...I'm not sure how that will work out with moving and everything, but oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get there!

This next week, I will be traveling down to southern Idaho yet again to go to Wendell; I am looking forward to that one. The last time I was supposed to go, a sewer pipe busted; it was a crappy situation....

On my way home this last time, I took a different way and I honestly dont think I've ever seen prettier country in my life! The little mountian road and the passes I climbed...it was simply gorgeous! I hope I can take that trip again!
